Giacometti: Form In Motion

Giacometti
Giacometti is an experimental animation about the act of creation. It follows a hypothetical story of Alberto Giacometti, a swiss sculptor, as he forms an elephant from clay.
The concept was built around the visual mechanisms behind animating rotation: Keeping a believable mass and features that morph slightly with each shift.

The mass elements of the figure (the tonal shading on the form) then adapts to the new shape. What follows is a complex play between lines that delineate the figure, its relationship to the tone that fills it, and the viewer's understanding of the sculptural form.
